Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
This Terms of Service and Privacy Policy describes how Geko Life Pte Ltd (“the Company”) collects information about you when you use our mobile applications (“the App”), websites and other online products and services (collectively, the “Services”) and through other interactions and communications you might have with us.
Please read the following Terms of Service carefully before using the Services so that you are aware of your legal rights and obligations with respect to the Company and its affiliates and subsidiaries (individually and collectively, “Geko”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
1. Collection of Information
As the party uses services of the Company, the Company may collect personal data and any other data from the party in accordance of the followings;
1.1 Personal Data
The Company only collects the data you provide in accordance to your consent when you use our Services, including when you apply for a credit scoring, apply for hire purchase, purchase our products, contact customer support or otherwise communicate with us.
This information may include name, email, phone number, postal address, bank details, payment method, and other information you choose to provide. As the party registers via Facebook or Google, the Company shall collect personal data from the public data in the Facebook account which may contain personal data received from such connection. In case the user willingly grants the personal data in order to continue on registration, the Company shall be entitled to access and detain such data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Moreover, the Company shall be entitled to transfer such personal data to other relevant persons of the Company’s services in accordance with the disclosure condition of that given data.
1.2 Non-Personal Data
Unidentified personal data: as the party uses the services of the Company, the Company shall collect the unidentified personal data which is a non-personal data. Such data consists of your device ID numbers, SIM card number, browser history, contacts, calendars, application list, location data and storage and, in some cases, the IP address of your device. You may change such permissions using your device settings. The Company collects data to improve our services, including: Advertising ID associated with your device; Internet service provider or mobile network you use to connect to our products; and Information regarding other applications you may have on your device and how they are used (we never enter said applications).
The data is obtained by technological method and is unidentifiable. In addition, the Company may collect unidentifiable personal data from other persons apart from the party (consisting the previous mentioned data types). This additional unidentifiable personal data from other persons apart from the party may be compiled with other data detained by the Company.
Personal data in general: the Company puts dramatic efforts to understand and develop services for the users. The Company regularly explores the interests and behaviours of the users by relying on personal data and other data obtained by the Company. This exploration shall be complied and generally analysed without identification of persons and the data is thus not personal in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Important Information About Platform Permissions
Most mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined certain types of device data that apps cannot access without your consent. And these platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent. The iOS platform will alert you the first time the Company app wants permission to access certain types of data and will let you consent (or not consent) to that request. Android devices will notify you of the permissions that the Company app seeks before you first use the app, and your use of the app constitutes your consent.
1.3 Vehicle Data
We may collect a variety of information from or about your vehicle. The type of information collected and processed varies based on your vehicle year, configuration and model. Examples of information collected include:
Telematics log data: To improve our vehicles and services for you, we may collect certain telematics data regarding the performance, usage, operation, and condition of your vehicle, including: vehicle identification number; speed information; odometer readings; battery use management information; battery charging history; electrical system functions; software version information; and other data to assist in identifying issues and analysing the performance of the vehicle. We may collect such information either in person (such as during a service appointment) or via remote access.
Service history: In order to facilitate the servicing of your vehicle, we may collect and process data about the service history of each vehicle, such as the customer’s name, vehicle identification number, repair history, any outstanding recalls, any bills due, any customer complaints, and any other information related to its service history.
1.4 Data Management
If you no longer wish us to collect telematics log data or any other data from your vehicle, you may Delete Account from the GEKO+ Application through your profile settings. Alternatively, you may contact us at contact@geko.life. Please note that if you opt out from the collection of telematics log data or any other data from your vehicle (with the exception of the Data Sharing setting detailed above), we will not be able to notify you of issues applicable to your vehicle in real time. This may result in your vehicle suffering from reduced functionality, serious damage, or inoperability, and it may also disable many features of your account in the App including remote services, and interactivity with the App and features such as location search, and battery data.
2. Use of Information
The Company shall use the information we collect in accordance with the Privacy Policy for the following objectives;

To respond to your inquiries and fulfil your requests, such as to send you newsletters or product information, information alerts, information about events, or brochures

From time to time, we may send administrative information to you, such as information regarding our products and services, and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.

Provide, improve and develop our Services to provide customer support to the Company and send updates and administrative messages;

To facilitate social sharing and communications functionality.

Obtain an assessment of your solvency including but not limited to an assessment of the probability of default of your obligations in the framework of contracts for the provision of financial services;

Assess your interest in receiving financial services through algorithms and mathematical modelling;

Personalize and improve the Services, including to provide information on your vehicle, its battery status, and its location;

Perform internal operations, including, for example, to prevent fraud and abuse of our Services; to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems; to conduct data analysis, testing, and research; and to monitor and analyse usage and activity trends;

For business reasons: the Company has rights to process personal data of the party for business reasons in order to improve content and details of services for better understanding of its users, to improve services, to restrain and identify the offenses, to enforce terms and conditions of the services, to perform user account management, and for preparation altogether with general management of services and business management of the Company.

For marketing: the Company shall be entitled to unlimitedly process personal and nonpersonal data with the purpose to provide the party with Services information or any other information which the party may be interested in and to develop and produce advertisement media, marketing media, arrangement of the media for the party, communicating content and advertisement which the Company considered relevant to the party both in the time of service and non-service. That is, the users should acknowledge that the Company may use the obtained or compiled personal data of the service user (including those from registration) in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the foresaid methods. In case of necessity to process personal data of the party in contrast to the Privacy Policy, the party shall be notified beforehand or at the time of personal data collection, otherwise the Company shall ask for permission of the party after the personal data collection and before the process of such data.

Metadata accessed, collected and shared are as follows: Access Location; Internet; Read and Write External Storage; Read Contacts; Read Calendar; Get Accounts; Bluetooth; Wifi; Use Biometric; Camera. With other third parties with whom you choose to let us share information, for example other apps or websites that integrate with our API or Services, or those with an API or Service with which we integrate; and

With the general public if you submit content in a public forum, such as blog comments, social media posts, or other features of our Services that are viewable by the general public;

In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company;

Agency, adviser and other related persons: as any other business, the Company occasionally needs to outsource other companies to carry out certain processes of the Company, for example; mailing, sale of goods, database security, and payment management. As other companies represent the Company, the Company may reveal data including personal data to the outsourced companies for proper performance.
4. Analytics and Advertising Services Provided by Others
We may allow others to provide audience measurement and analytics services for us, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and to track and report on the performance of those advertisements. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and other technologies to identify your device when you visit our site and use our Services, as well as when you visit other online sites and services.
Cookies
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since the browser is a little different, look at your browser’s Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, some features will be disabled. that make your site experience more efficient and may not function properly. However, you will still be able to use our Services.
Account Information
You may correct your account information at any time by emailing us at contact@geko.life. Please note that in some cases we may retain certain information about you as required by law, or for legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law. For instance, if you have a standing credit or debt on your account, or if we believe you have committed fraud or violated our Terms, we may seek to resolve the issue before deleting your information.
Access Rights
The Company will comply with individual’s requests regarding access, correction, and/or deletion of the personal data it stores in accordance with applicable law.
Location Information
The Company requests permission for our collection of precise location from your vehicle per the permission you agreed to during your purchase. If you initially permit the collection of this information, you can later disable it by contacting contact@geko.life . However, this will limit your ability to use certain features of our Services. Additionally, disabling the collection of precise location from your vehicle will not limit our ability to derive approximate location from your IP address.
5. GEKO Life Coins (“GLC”) Rewards System
5.1 Users may earn GLC by paying their installments earlier, riding on their electric motorcycle, taking a Wefie every month, or through participation in other activities as GEKO may from time to time determine (“Eligible Activities”) based on the conversion rate determined by GEKO in its sole discretion. Generally, GLC will be credited to a User’s Account upon the completion of a successful payment or activity approved by GEKO. You are eligible to participate in the GLC reward system if you are a User and your Account does not expressly exclude you from participation.
5.2 Transactions not completed on the App do not qualify for the GLC reward system. GEKO may at its sole discretion exclude activities from the GLC reward system.
5.3 GLC has no monetary value, does not constitute your property and cannot be purchased, sold, transferred or redeemed for cash.
5.4 Subject to GEKO rules and regulation as determined, varied or modified by GEKO from time to time, subject to any cap imposed by GEKO at its sole discretion, User may redeem GLC by sending a request to GEKO and use GLC to offset their installment payments on the App as advised by GEKO from time to time.
5.5 The GLC you redeem will be deducted from your balance. Do check your account details on the App for GLC balances.
5.6 From time to time, we may tell you that bonus GLC will be awarded for particular Eligible Activities. This may include but is not limited to specific promotional offers. We will notify you of the terms of such bonus awards if any from time to time.
5.7 If you have a dispute in relation to the number of GLC which you have been awarded in respect of an Eligible Activity, such a dispute must be made within one (1) month from the date of the Eligible Activity. We may require you to provide evidence to support your claim.
5.8 GEKO gives no warranty and accepts no responsibility as to the ultimate tax treatment of GLC. You will need to check with your tax advisor whether receiving GLC affects your tax situation.
5.9 GEKO reserves the right to (i) discontinue the GLC Reward System at any time at its sole discretion and (ii) cancel or suspend a User’s right to participate in GLC Reward System, including the ability to earn and redeem GLC at its sole discretion.

Promotional Communications
You may opt out of receiving promotional messages from us by following the instructions in those messages. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account, about Services you have requested, or our ongoing business relations.
Changes to the Statement
The Company may change this Statement from time to time. If we make significant changes in the way we treat your personal information, or to the Statement, we will provide you notice through the Services or by some other means, such as email. Your continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes your consent to the changes. We encourage you to periodically review the Statement for the latest information on our privacy practices.
